The Association Climatologique de la Moyenne-Garonne (ACMG-Agralis) provides irrigation advice to farmers in the Garonne catchment using a network of soil moisture probes in combination with a weather forecast. To add the spatial component within the field, satellite data from WaterWatch was used. WaterWatch derived detailed spatial information at field scale (~30m) on crop evapotranspiration using SEBAL. The irrigation scheduling tool IrriLook linked soil moisture to evapotranspiration. IrriLook can be considered as the integrator between soil moisture measurements and satellite derived evapotranspiration.

The ETLook algorithm in combination with composite MODIS images is capable of providing weekly updates on biomass production, biomass growth, crop evaporation, nitrogen content, and yield. Information was send directly to the user using the CropLook.com website.
