Wim Bastiaanssen (Director WaterWatch and CTO eLEAF) has been appointed as a Honorary Professor in the School of Bioresources Engineering & Environmental Hydrology (BEEH) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) at PieterMaritzburg, South Africa.

This appointment reveals the academic respect and appreciation from culminated work executed in South Africa. Wim is very pleased with this new position, as it paves the way to roll out Pixel Intelligence Mapping technologies in the African continent. He will undertake joint research with young academicians from Africa to exploit earth observations for a better management of land and water resources.
