Ir. Ivo Miltenburg graduated from the Faculity of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, Department of Water Resources Management at Delft University of Technology during April 2008 on a M.Sc. thesis entitled "Determination of canal characteristics with experimental modelling". Ivo has a mathematical interest, and applies these skills in the field of water resources modelling. He did earlier research on optimization of hydraulics in irrigation canals, prepared groundwater management plans for urban environments and investigated flood mitigation measures in Surinam. Besides being a Beta-oriented young professional, Ivo fulfilled several socio-organizational duties. Among others, he functioned as former president of the Delft Student Union.
