David (1986) graduated from Wageningen University in 2011 with a major in Geo-Information Science and Remote Sensing. He also has a BSc degree in Forest and Nature Conservation – Ecology & Management (2009). For his MSc thesis he studied the use of the Photochemical Reflectance Vegetation Index (PRI) and MODIS imagery for the purpose of monitoring carbon uptake and photosynthetic activity in the Veluwe temperate forest in The Netherlands. David spent his time as an internship trainee at WaterWatch and researched the potential of Synthetic Aperture Radar data for the monitoring of Leaf Area Index in various agricultural crop types in Flevoland, The Netherlands. Through his internship and part-time work as a student assistant at Wageningen University he also gained extensive experience in the use of near-sensing equipment in the field. As an employee at WaterWatch David continues his studies on radar applications in crop growth monitoring and takes part in projects involving radar remote sensing.
