WaterWatch activity in the Sandveld region, South Africa
The South African potato magazine Chips recently featured an article on the WaterWatch project in the Sandveld region.
The Sandveld project focusses on sustainable improvement of potato and rooibos production while maintaining biodiversity. The project is a clear example of collaboration between different stakeholders in water management, and was financed by among others the Ministry of Agriculture, the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry (DWAF), and the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI).
